The four squares which I named Climax were meant to illustrate the evolution from cold to warmer climate and it was a great experience to work otherwise than I am used to do in my studio.
I used food colorings, and the ephemeral existence of them highlighted the topic. Colors and ice melted away, but contrary to what is happening in nature, the polar bears were the last elements to disappear… That’s one of the privileges of being an artist : you can go against nature.

I was very happy to be a part of it, especially because it was particularly devoted to climate change issues that year.
